ONU Course Equivalents with an ‘X’ at the end of the course number, e.g. 1234x, have initially been evaluated as not being equivalent to an ONU course by the Registrar’s Office. The courses with an 'X' could potentially have an ONU Equivalent upon further evaluation by the Department Chair or Assistant/Associate Dean of the college of the potential ONU Equivalent. It will be the student's responsibility to provide the course syllabus to the appropriate person. Courses with an 'N' at the end of the course number, e.g. 1234N, have already been evaluated by the Department Chair or Assistant/Associate Dean and will NOT be equivalent to an ONU course, will not satisfy any course prerequisite, and only credit hours are used. Courses with ‘and/or’ to the left of the Transfer Institution course are part of a group (there are multiple courses that will satisfy an equivalent(s)), ALL of which must be passed to earn the indicated credit.
Please note: If you took a course at another institution under the Quarter system your course credit hours will be multiplied by .667 and converted to Semester hours for the ONU Equivalent. If you took the course at another institution under the Semester system your course credit hours will be a 1 to 1 conversion. For those institutions that have converted their Quarter course credit hours to Semester hours as part of their conversion your hours transferred as ONU Equivalents will also be 1 to 1.
